Where is the pouch?
These are great earbuds, but where is the pouch that is supposed to hold them? I did not receive one in my packaging.
Excellent sound, but where is the pouch?
Are the best earphone I’ve used!!! The sound, comfort, design, but expected the pouch inside the case! Points less to this Seller. The description on this is not clear.
four months and loving it
There are sellers selling fakes. So if you have a bad pair, check it’s authenticity.
I’ve been just using the stock ipod earbuds for years. I finally got frustrated after a few years. The rubber kept tearing off and fairly uncomfortable after a period of time.
Sennheiser CX300s are great. The quality isn’t great on my netbook, but it’s because of the netbook audio specs. For someone who isn’t an audiophile, these earbuds sound great with my ipod. Also the sound isolation is very helpful for a college student with 3 roommates and likes to study at home. I just turn on Pandora and they don’t exist (if they make loud noises, then yes they are audible but not bothersome). I can’t speak for durability. I keep them in a tin case so they aren’t squished and whatnot. The wire noise isn’t bothersome when you have volume up enough to not hear someone speaking to you — which isn’t too high.
Very satisfied.
The Ultimate Ear Buds for Sleeping
These things are great. They sound great, the asymmetrical wires are very convenient, but most important for me is I can lay on my side and sleep with them on. I hardly can tell they are even there. With the other 4 pair of ear buds that I have tried they hurt my ear on the side I am laying and I can’t sleep, but these are perfectly comfortable.
Excellent closed ear buds
After reading the reviews I bought these closed ear buds.
Absolutely excellent sound blocking, I removed the default rubbers and put the larger ones on.
With just half volume you can’t hear a thing, no TV, no people talking. Awesome.
The quality seems good though I haven’t done any listening tests yet. Its definitely a different sound to open earphones, but that must be expected.
Tip: Don’t buy a crappy ipod. The only good thing about ipod is their marketing. Get a Sandisk Fuze or Clip+ and load Rockbox on it. Best MP3 player EVER!
odd cord lengths
I had some Sennheiser earbuds before, and they were awesome! Braided wire on the cords, nice fit, etc. I thought I was buying more of the same with these.
These were not the earbuds I was looking for.
First of all, what retard likes the unequal length cords to the earphones? They tend to hang the weight of the whole ensemble on one ear, with the other earbud an afterthought draped across your chest from one side to the other.
Other than that, they are fine. They have “normal” cords, not the braided wire ones I was looking for.
So, if you get a good price on these, and you are aware of the “alternative” cord length, rock out. Otherwise, move on.
Excellent Sound but not good while walking or jogging
There is no doubt that the sound quality is pretty good but only when you are sitting in one place. The design has some major flaw. The noise isolating ear pads and cord work together like a stethoscope. Even a smallest touch or movement of the cord creates heartbeat like sound, so when I am walking or jogging, I continuously keep getting this added heartbeat sound. It annoys me a lot and I don’t know who would like a headphone that is good in isolating external noise but adds its own. A tall person(more than 6′) will definitely feel that the cord is a little short and because of left side being shorter than right side, my left side earbud slips off very often if I try to stretch my head away.
One more thing as a side note. I bought this item from Amazon and the product description said that the earphone had a black carrying case too. After receiving the item I didn’t see any carrying case. I contacted Amazon, they accepted that the product description was wrong and they sent me a case free of cost. I always love Amazon for their excellent customer service.
very annoying chord
They should put in the item description that these have a asymmetric cable. Had I know this I would not have bought them. how anyone thinks having the left side a foot shorte than the right side is a good idea is beyond me. This is very annoying. so annoying you can not enjoy listening to music, because one quick move with the head, and out they go. horrid design, and this should be on the main page telling us that this is how they are. The sound seems decent, but I havent had them in longer than one song to get a good feel for the sound. Thats how annoying this chord is.
Low profile stuff. Don’t buy it!
This earplug is very disappointing. It has very poor bass response. And it feels uncomfortable when you wear it for a while.
I guess this the cheapest Sennheiser stuff. I bought other earphones of Amazon at the similar price. They are much better than this one.
So, don’t ever buy it. It does not worth it!.
Wouldn’t stay in my ears
I couldn’t get these to consistently stay in my ears. I tried the different adapters, I tried wrapping one cord behind my neck (which the product is designed for with each earbud having a different length cord), but they just wouldn’t stay. I also liked the sound in my Sony earbuds better – as other reviews have said, these have a lot of bass. If you’re like me and have trouble with earbuds staying in your ears, these are not the answer. Try the Sony Mdr-Ed12Lp/Slv Budstyle Headphones instead.

Conosco esta marca y su calidad hace muchos años y crei que este audifono resultaria como los que habia comprado hace un tiempo, pero no me resulto asi, los sonidos bajos no suenan igual, Le doy 3 estrellas.
Warning
Whilst the sound quality is good (as one would expect), there is a fundamental design flaw.
One of the earphones has a cable that’s a foot longer than the other.
That means you will have a loose piece of cord hanging about your neck – permanently. It’s rather annoying.
There are alternatives on the market…
its not enough
these IEMs barely provide enough value even for its $22 price tag. it is fairly comfortable and looks decent. it does not last too long especially in regards to wax tolerance. more importantly, there are other IEMs that beat this out on value. Meelectronic’s M6 comes to mind,as well as couple others. check out head-fi.org for competitors around this price.
Unbearably Loud Click
The sound quality on these is decent, but I can’t stand using them due to an unbearably loud click noise they make when inserting them into my ears. I am not sure why, but if you press in on the buds it will make a click sound that is audible when in front of you but too loud when it is in your ear. I can’t use them because of this.
Great Product but need new pair already
Hi
I bought these headphones about a year ago and while the sound, comfort, and tech of the headphones has been great the durability has been a problem. These headphones did everything that you expect out of a Sennheiser product in terms of sound quality but the within the first couple of months they started splitting down the center cord. A year later the center cord is now two cords and the left ear has stopped working. It was amazing in its time but unfortunately it is time to buy something new.
Perfection.
These earphones are exactly what I’ve been looking for. I’ve always wanted a good sounding affordable set of earphones, and these are definitely it. I got mine for around 20 dollars and I’ve had them for about a month now. They are excellent. These are the best sounding earphones you will get for[...]. They sound better than earphones in the hundred dollar range that I’ve tried. They’re very stylish and fit very well, the bass is just right and every sound is clear, what more can you ask for? Make sure you only buy them for sellers that have fulfillment from amazon, so you know you’re getting the real thing. You won;t be disappointed.
Don’t buy from Digital Media Source!
Don’t buy from these guys!
This is just another fake Sennheiser.
To check if your headphones are fake tap the cable – if you hear a noise in headset then is fake. I have another headset – Philips – 1,000 times better than this fake Sennheiser.
I should ask for my money back but I’m afraid It will be too expensive to return this garbage. Shame on you guys!
Chance of Counterfeit / Poorly Handled
My first impression of these canals were the STATIC/noise/hiss!
It was faint but noticeable.
The interesting thing was that the hiss was constant, no matter if I mute the volume or max it out. In other words the hiss did not get worse or better depending on the volume.
I contacted Sennheiser and checked on numerous online forums.
Sennheiser said that the sellers on Amazon are on their NON-AUTHORIZED sellers:
[...]
[...]
This is what they told me:
“Non-authorized dealers selling “legit” product have no relationship with Sennheiser. They may get their goods from a source that is questionable; perhaps they are stolen, returned, refurbished (even though they say they are new), new, old, counterfeit…we have no idea. They may not have been stored in the proper environment (were they in a truck for an entire winter with no heat?) and thus we cannot guarantee the product to perform as it would when going through the appropriate supply chain.”
And their 2 year WARRANTY WILL NOT COVER you.
The model CX 300 is especially easy to counterfeit judging from the simplicity in design.
Even if they are real the quality may have dropped since Sennheiser has not manufactured them for a couple of years now.
A friend of mine who is a musician say that there is a clear distortion when the volume is increased. And the number of other pairs of headphones I tested do not create the hissing sound. I bought a pair of CX 280 for double the price from a legit store and the difference in quality (in terms of build and the hiss) is stark.
What I think is that the ones I bought were probably legit but the quality dropped significantly.
Bottom line: Be careful even when buying from Amazon!!!
These Aren’t Legit
These are fake knock-offs. Sennheiser doesn’t list any of Amazons listed sellers as legit dealers. Couple that with the fact that these have less than stellar quality and it’s quite obvious that they’re knock-offs. Also Sennheisers MSRP on these on their website is like $80, with a few legit dealers selling for around $50. $20 is too good to be true. Don’t buy these.
Good Item for this price
Isolation is good, though minor strange noises may occur due to the deformation of the ear bud. The frequency characteristics seems to be not so good at first, yet becomes better after working several days. The space and position feelings are excellent.
