Bought these because I read about the brand and these were the most affordable headphones.

But to be very honest, they arent very comfy. They have this odd oval shape that doesnt sit on the ears right.

And the part that holds the earpieces together isnt exactly well designed.

Sound quality I cannot compare, as I have used small ear buds so far, so this is much better.

The cable is very very long, which is quite useful but kind of inconvenient. Especially lugging around the plastic piece that the cable winds around. Irritating.

Overall average product, I would rather something more comfortable.

This is my second pair of the HD202. The sound quality is great for the price and the ear pieces are very comfortable for extended wear. I gave this 3 stars because the cord while more than long enough is very thin and breaks where it connects to the ear piece so you end up with sound only in one ear. My first pair lasted about 18 months, this pair only 6 days. If you intend to only sit in your room and not take them anywhere they are a value but I will look for something else to take to college.

But these are the best damn deal in headphones I’ve ever seen.

Wonderful sound and at $25 I cannot imagine you would find much better headphones for twice the price.

For the money, these are the best headphones you will ever buy. Better than most $100+ pairs I have listened to. Tone is great. I was amazed at how strong the bass is (without overpowering like other “Extra Bass” headphones do). Buy these and you won’t be disappointed.

I’m not really what you’d call an ‘audiophile’. I like to listen to music, as I imagine the majority of humans do, but I don’t get nearly as deep into these things as a person can go. The most I do is sometimes rip my CDs in FLAC, when space permits, and read headphone reviews when it’s time to get new headphones–as I did this time.

I read up on a few headsets, and people seemed to like a few Sennheiser models particularly. This one came up, and it seemed like it’d be a fit for me–and the price was good–so I bought it. And I must say, it’s really about what people said it was. In particular, I’d heard that it was good for mobile devices (for reasons I’m not entirely clear on; something about ~30 ohms nominal impedance being better than ~60 in this case); that it sounds good, with a slightly ‘artificial’, ‘bassy’ sound as opposed to a ‘natural’ one; that it (more about Sennheiser headphones in general, if I recall correctly, take a bit of time to ‘wear in’ and sound their best; and various reports of varying degrees about tightness on the head and smallness on the ears, with various levels of discomfort claimed.

First, I found that it was indeed with pretty small ear cups and it IS tight. After a while, they can become uncomfortable. I find it livable, though, and my ears and head are somewhere between ‘large’ and ‘HUGE’, so it’ll fit you, the reader, whomever you may be, mostly likely. It even gets a bit more comfortable over time. Also: possibly related, but it seems (at least to me) to bleed very little sound.

It sounds good, and I don’t really know what, exactly, the reviewers meant by natural, but bass does sound very good. Also, it has ‘worn in’ a bit to sound better over time (it actually didn’t sound that special when it was first out of the box).

I don’t know about mobile devices in general, but I was stunned when I first tried it on my G1 a week ago. It sounded fantastic–better, even, than it had on my computer. Whatever the reason, it really says good things about the headphones.

I’d also like to add that they seem fairly solidly built.

All told, I’m quite happy I got them.

Highly recommended for those who invest in music. Comfortable, durable, the HD202 Headphones tend to last 1.5 years before one of the earphones go out due to a damaged wire; very few headphones would last a year in my household with the rough treatment from pets and children. I cannot tell you how many times a day they are dropped from the desk to a hardwood floor yet survive without problem. This purchase was my forth owned pair, on a frugal budget I couldn’t suggest a product better.

I didn’t have extremely high expectations for these headphones. Basically I wanted something to use at work for long periods of time. My current ones are old sony’s and need some re-soldering, so I figured I’d pick up two pairs of these – the price is right.

I have an average sized head and these things squeeze my head very tightly. In addition, the ear pads are too small to go around your ear, so your ear lobe and the top of your ear are get sandwiched between the headphones and your melon. Definitely not for use for long periods of time — fine for the first 15 minutes (kind of… still uncomfortable).

I was looking for the most affordable, and still excellent sound quality and comfort, and wound up buying a pair of 202’s. Not only are they very affordable (currently $20), they are also very comfortable for extended wear, have excellent sound quality, and are comparable to a $100 pair of headphones. These are without a doubt the best over the ear headphones you can buy cheap right now.

This is the fourth pair of Sennheiser HD 202 headphones. I give them away to family and friends and I keep ordering moore. I could not be more pleased.

I bought a pair of these headphones using Amazon.com. I am very pleased at how comfortable they are and how great they sound. They reproduce every part of the sound spectrum very well. They provide decent bass but not overwhelming. Bass fanatics may want to look elsewhere. These headphones are a very good value.
