Good Rockin’ Headphones!
Bought them for my 16 year old daughter. Wondered why she had to have “these” headphones. Headphones are headphones, right? NOT! These things ROCK! Great sound quality alone, but add the bass kick in and WOW, what a music experience. I’m a little scared they will break because they have so many hinges on them, but to thier credit, they have not. So I have to give them a solid 5 stars. Only real complaint was the manner they were packed. Unbelievable. Obviously so you can not get them out of a package in a store. But what about unpacking them at home? I literally almost broke them opening the package. Once I realized I had to use a utility knife, I almost cut the cord. Get a little less paranoid with the packing, and I will be 100% happy.
Now I know why they are called Skullcrushers.
These head phones have A LOT of bass. I thought the max bass setting would be mediocre but these head phones have MORE BASS THAN YOUR BODY HAS ROOM FOR!!!!!

first of all they r really good to look at… they r not over-sized headphone… very sleek design.. simply love it…
second.. very light weight.. and built quality is really good..
third.. most important… they r comfortable… BUT i found them little tight for me… after using for about 3,4 hrz.. my ears start hurting…
Finally the sound…. these headphone has amazing sound quality… specially the mini subs,, they worked freaking awesome.. i never heard bass i like that in headphone… u need to do some adjustments from ur pc/ipod/mp3 players .. For Example don’t turn on so much bass from ur pc/ipod/mp3’s its gonna ruin the sound… try to get cleanest sound and just turn on the bass from the headphone amplifier…
At the end…. I really like these headphone… no doubt i got really goood deal at amazon… Good Old Amazon…
Solid sound quality, cool and simple design.
I’m very satisfied with these headphones. The sound quality is very good and the extra bass function makes it even better. While watching a movie with the bass turned on I felt like I was actually at the theater. As an extra plus the headphones fold up for convenient storage.
Amazing Headphones!!
These are great quality headphones and the subwoofer is fan-freakin-tastic! Once you listen to your music with the subwoofer on with these, you won’t want to use anything else to play your music with (except maybe a tricked out car stereo with a subwoofer, haha). Seriously, the woofer makes a HUGE difference. The sound quality through the large speakers is really good even with the subwoofer off. It comes with a few cool extra things that are pretty nice to have as well. The only cons are that the fit is a bit tight and wouldn’t fit people with… large heads, and that the subwoofer isn’t very pocket-friendly. Those aside, great product.

However, the extra-battery for the extra bass is not really necessary. They still boom without it.
Not worth it.
We bought these for my 14 year old son and he was so excited to get them, well after only 3 days they broke. We had to return them to Skull Candy to be replaced.

People say that these headphones are only good for music with heavy bass. Well, the way it presents the bass is amazing. people would also say that it is only good for a certain genre of music, and other than that they are horrible. i want to line those people up in a line and throw tamatoes at them. These are the best headphones you can get in this price range for any genre.

These headphones have the best bass I’ve heard . The first time I heard them in the store of Best Buy on demo. I was blown away first time. I am still in shock of having a subwoofer that small space. I have 8 Good remarks about these headphones.
1.The Sound quality is out of this world for the headphone world.
2.These headphones go very soft on my ears.
3.The head ban is comfortable at least for 2hrs.
4.You have an off switch for subwoofer .
5.You have foldable headphones for storage in the bag in which skullcandy had provided for you.
6.You have an Airline Jack and Stereo Jack .
7.You are in control of the bass with a console.
8.You have a double AA battery rather a triple AAA battery.
Only 4 Bad remarks for this headphones .
1.No noise canceling or Noise Isolation.
2.The headphones are very fragile by touching them.
3.Wish that it would have a 10% better Treble and Mid Range. But bass non can go wrong.
4.Not as wonderful as Bose but it saves you a fortune in money.
Good but not great
Sound quality was not as great as i was hoping, bass is very good though. I purchased them to plug into my guitar amp, and for my ipod and i guess they are not terrible for the price, i have owned Sony headphones in the past that had much better overall sound quality but they cost about three times more.

This is a great, affordable item for the average music lover. It fits comfortably on the ears. When you put it on, it reduces outside noise by 50% for greater clarity. When you use the subwoofer, it vibrates along with the smooth-sounding bass. You can also adjust the headphones in many ways.
Good Headphones if you like bass.
These headphones are very good if you listen to a lot of bass heavy music, hip-hop, techno, etc. They are very comfortable and portable. The downside is if you like music with less bass, i.e, rock, punk, and indie, the bass is to much. I owned a pair of skullcnady Hesh before this and those worked better for my kind of music.

Great Headphones
I really enjoyed using these headphones. It’s extremely comfortable (I found it just as comfy as the Beats By Dre headphones). I bought these for only 40 dollars and it was worth it. My favorite part is the bass amplifier. With it, almost all of my songs sound better with it excluding acoustic songs. The sound quality sounds a lot better than most headphones in my opinion. The only problem I really encountered is that the headphones feel a bit flimsy, but its a plus for me because it makes me take extra care of it. Also, when you wear it around your neck it’s pretty uncomfortable.

Very cool looking to wear (though it’s not shaped like ordinary headphones the part where the headband and the earmuff connect together, it points out a little)

Son loves these
Only time will tell about the durability, but the basic construction looks fine for the price. The sound quality of the base subwoofer feature is only something a kid would love, which he does.
Great headphones
I bought these for my son who seems to break/lose headphones at least once a month. He has had these for a couple of months now and no problems. They are comfortable and can be worn for hours. The sound is rich and robust and cannot be heard by people in the same room.
Believe the hype
I have bought 3 pairs of the Skullcrushers. The Pros: hard to beat the comfort, sound quality, noise cancelling and price of these headphones. Cons: the cord is too short, the plastic swivel piece on the earpiece is prone to breaking. People tend to interrupt you and the easy thing to do is lift back the earpiece to answer them. Bad move. Either move the whole set down to your neck or pause your music because that plastic piece gets stressed and will break. If you follow that rule, these headphones will serve you well. The 3 pairs I bought: 1 broke at the swivel piece, the other two were to replace the freakin’ crappy $20 headphones bought at my local box store. These headphones cost between $60-$80 at most places. Amazon has them for $40 and it is well worth it.
Cant beat ‘em
I was in the market for an over the ear headphone for use at the office, and as well as for travel, however I am not ready to pay high-end price for some headphones. I have used Skullcandy Full Metal Jackets for my in ear headphones for a year and a half, and have been quite pleased. So I was willing to check out their over the ear line, and when I saw the price on these, I figured it was worth the shot. I got them, hooked them up to my ipod, and I was immediately pleased with the sound, the battery compartment for the power amp is a bit cumbersome, but worth it for the sound, and has a clip to mount it in your pocket or on your person.
The only knock is if the subwoofer switch is left on, the battery will drain, and do so rather quickly, since I found this out I have not had to change a battery yet.
Very comfortable, no ear sweating. The whole assebly is made of plastic, but it seems to hold up pretty good to my use to-and-from work.

I love these headphones. Well worth the money and I was surprised to have the bass booster. I only got these about 2 weeks ago, but they are holding up fine to everyday use at my office. The one thing that I think is stupid is the skull logo on the sides, but whatever. It is a fine product.
