Great Sport and All Around Headphones!!
I am VERY happy with these. A GREAT price and great sound!! I use them constantly — while riding a bike, on the train, or just sitting at my computer. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! You won’t be disappointed. My friends are a little confused when they try to put them on but it’s all good…
sony headphone
best running headphones so far! maybe because is comes with a clip, great idea! the left side tends to vibrate slightly in my left ear (it doesn’t fall out), perhaps because i use earrings in that ear but, turn up the volume, and you can’t really tell.
Helps with the long runs
I run half marathons and marathons so having my Ipod Nano is a NECESSITY!! The Sony Mdr-AS20J Active Style Headphones work well with my Nano. They’re very comfortable on my ears, sound is great and I don’t have to really adjust them during excercise or running. Highly recommend!
disappointed
Thought I had found something that would be comfortable and stay in ears while running; did okay job with that, but after first month or so, one side just died on me so I was listening with one ear and the quality of sound deteriorated on the “good” piece after about 20 minutes. If sweat gets in your ear, then you cannot hear anything from this unit. That was my experience.
Quality is superb
Earphones are exactly what i was looking for, These fit my Iphone and use them to work out. Great quality. Sony earphones will last a long time and they go through some heavy use.
the best and cheapest
I don’t know what these 1-2-3 star people are talking about, but these headphones are GREAT. great sound and construction. had them and used them daily for 2.5 years. and I’m still using them.
Comfortable and good value
Suprisingly comfortable. Good sound quality and value. Long cord. Ear buds always seemed to fall out and I was constantly having to make adjustments. This pair stays in place. I use these while working out at the gym, in the yard, and at the office. Very pleased with this purchase.
Not good for cycling
I bought these to use while cycling. Don’t like in-ear types and standard over-the-head types aren’t comfortable under a helmet. These fit fine, stayed in, and were reasonably comfortable. The deal killer was wind noise. Above 14-15 mph (or at slower speeds into the wind) they generate so much wind noise that you have to be at top volume just to figure out what song is playing. Probably great for slower sports but didn’t work for me for cycling.
Pretty good headphones for runners
I’ve had these for about year. I run 3-5 miles a couple times a week and these things have held up pretty well. The sound quality is pretty good when they’re all the way in, but these fit kind of loose on me, and you can’t adjust the size on these unfortunately.
Works well while it lasts
I thought these were the solution to my active listening needs, and for a time, they were. They stayed firmly in place, sounded fine and didn’t cut off the outside noise. Everything I wanted in a set of phones until they bit the dust. It’s been less than 5 months since I bought them. The headphones that came with my iPod lasted far longer than these ’sport’ headphones (which are ostensibly designed to be more durable than casual listening devices.)
Great for the first week, after that. . . scrap.
These headphones were to be my answer to the workout problem I have with headphones. They worked great for the first week. Now, after about 15 minutes on the eliptical, the left side stops working. That may be ok for someone who only does 15 minutes of cardio, but I need them to last much longer. Now they have been added to the pile of scrap that seems to be growing faster than my bank account. Save the 15 or so bucks and don’t get this item if you have high standards.
Don’t fall off
I was looking for headphones to wear while running that wouldn’t fall out. These headphones are absolutely secure. But I find for exteneded wearing the size of the inner speaker that fits into my ear canal is slightly too large and becomes quite painful.
Runner in love with these ear phones
Bought them for my husband who complains that no earphones will stay on him when he’s running. He loves them! Stay on and sound great!
Static Two Days In
I’ve had these headphones two days. Yesterday I would have given them 5 stars. They are very comfortable and stay on my ears when I’m active. Today as I was sitting at my desk I began to hear static which gets wose when the connection to the plug is moved (nothing to do with shorting out due to sweat). Very comfortable, stays in place, but poor construction.
Just what I needed.
I have been looking for a pair of headphones that will stay on my ears without complication, without sacrificing too much in terms of sound quality, and these have proven to be just what I needed. They provide some noise cancellation, but not so much that they can’t be used in outdoor settings (like for running, etc.) – it is a nice balance. The sound quality is consistent throughout different volume levels, consistently good, that is – it isn’t super special, but it is definitely a few steps up from other set-ups I have tried. I also like the lightness of the headphones, both in the wiring and in the actual earpieces. These are a great buy if one is looking for headphones that will stay secure, that can be worn for long periods of time without discomfort, and that provide decent sound.
and it keeps on ticking…
After only a week of enjoyable listening while jogging, I accidentally left it in my running shorts and it went through the wash. I had to dismantle the washer’s center agitator in order to detangle the cord and rescue the earphones. The next time I ran, I used it… and to my amazement, it still works! I was reminded of the old Timex watch commercials after they subjected a watch to an awful punishment (like being run over by a truck)…and when they picked it up they exclaimed “and it is still ticking!”…..that’s how I feel about this product. Besides that, I am very pleased at how securely it remains in my ears while running….and sounds great, too.
Sony headphones..
Not a lot to say, I just love the headphones, sound quality is good, and most of all they are soo comfortable and stay in place..
Good But died on me
Listen these headphones lasted me considerably longer then most do with the beating they take from me. i would endorse them to the casual listener, however these are NOT waterproof like the search told me. I’m searching for new ones now because the sweat from multiple workouts slowly killed their volume capacity.first only the right Ear so i just used the left and now the left is done. the sound is muffled now and they cant even block out the noise thats around me enough for me to hear the music or voice.not awesome workout headphones and beware of water exposer! Otherwise GREAT BUY!
best sport headphones I have found
I have wasted a lot of money in search of headphones to use for running. These are not perfect, but they are the best I have found. They are comfortable even after an hour of running…I especially appreciate this after two terribly painful experiences with two Sennheiser models. I have had these for almost 2 years and probably 1 out of 10 runs they “short out” and I have to wipe and restart my ipod, but typically, the stay in my ears and they do not hurt.
disposable….basically
OK, I rarely write reviews but since I am on my 3rd pair I guess I need to come to terms that these headphones are like disposable. I mean, you arent going to get more than 2 months out of them. I run and I SWEAT!!! Yes SWEAT!!! So, what happens is, like many reviewers have said, they short out. One side or the other goes, ya know? After a short time the sound quality becomes awful and you need to have volume on ipod up to hear it. I do think they are comfortable though, which is why I am on my 3rd pair. But, 20 bucks every 2 months on headphones seems like a waste. There has to be something out there that has better lasting ability. Still searching…will not buy a 4th pair of these though….Not recommended if you want more than 2 months of usage..
