I bought these because I have a thing for fabric-wrapped headphone cords and nice noise insulating headphones. Yes, you can hear it scratch- but it doesn’t bother me unless I’m listening to a really quiet song while moving around a lot. (Solution: I turn up the volume a tiny bit)

The noise insulating is not perfect (I didn’t expect them to be) however, they’re good. I can listen to my Mp3 on REALLY low volume (levels 2 or 3 out of 30 steps) even in very loud areas. (ex: Construction site outside of one of my classes.) I had a funny experience with my mom- I let her use them and then I was talking to her. (She should have been able to hear me at the volume I was talking at, but either she’s going deaf or she’s not used to noise insulating earphones) She accused me for 20 minutes about just mouthing my words.

Anyways- I got these for around $9-$13 (can’t remember how much shipping was) and I have never had such good headphones for that price. Sure, I could have bought the $80 and I’m positive they’d be better- but for the price, there is no beating these headphones.

I bought these being the original non premium Zune headphones have excellent reliability. The non premiums I’ve used for about six months straight and besides the discomfort and sort of crappy sound quality I have had no gripes. Well, I’m on day four using these and I have two really big gripes about them and neither are due to the cord noise. First gripe is they have two places in the cord where somehow the rubber cord has managed to work its way into a loop and push its way out of the nylon sheathing and as hard as I try I can not get it to push back in. The second gripe is the diameter of the headphone right above where it connects to the rubber ear pieces. The size of them pushes out on the Tragus of the ear, that is the cartilage flap in front of the ear canal. The pressure causes a small amount of pain after only an hour of wear. Sound quality is ok. I wish I had ordered another set of the Denon ahc 252 instead, much more comfortable, cheaper and I thought the sound quality was a lot better.

The Zune earphones are the best I have ever owned. The sound is very good. When I switch to headphones, I have to raise the volumn and then lower it again when I use the Zune ear plugs. I especially like the corded cord. It helps to make the cord last longer.

I won my first set of Zune earplugs (which I am still using) but now I shop for Zune ear plugs because I am so please with them.

These are great headphones I dont know why others would complain about them except for the wire portion. The wire tangles somewhat easily but it’s also quite sturdy, The sound quality is somewhat better then some that I have used before. And for the price, I cant argue about it. If your ears hurt from wearing them too long it may be because your using a size too big on the buds. Give them a whirl they are certainly better then the Stereo type headphones from Apple. For $16 I will buy these over and over till I find better or when Im not lazy to find better xD But anyway If you want quality and cheap-ness then go with these cuz they are for 1 Better then Skull Candy Inked earbuds and some what cheaper!

PS! THEY MAGNETIZE AND STICK TOGETHER SO YOU DONT LOSE EM ;]

At first I thought it was just my player or a bad connection but 10 minuets latter I found that the product just doesn’t deliver to get any sound out of then you have to max out the volume and to be honest you can hear them better not wearing them as if the construction of them were backwards never buying this again sadly I left them on the side for too long and it didn’t qualify for the return

Sounds great, nice bass but it broke after a week… Cord is so easy to rip.

These headphones are great! They’re actually my second pair. I had a pair while I was in Afghanistan and used them to work out with every day. Over a 2 year period, they eventually wore out and one of the earbuds starting cutting out…but not from defects…it was from my abuse. But these are excellent…they really took a beating and stood up to my abuse for a long time. I would recommend them to anyone. They are great quality, have the best sound that I’ve heard, and have great durability. You won’t go wrong with these!

I’ve been using these premium zune headphones since I bought my zune a few years ago. The sound quality is nice. The major drawback, and the reason why you shouldn’t buy them, is that the cord is very VERY annoying to deal with. It gets tangled very easily. I’ve been using the default iphone headphones recently…the base is obviously not as good but the cord can’t get tangled. Contrast this with the zune headphones, which love getting tangled.

The magnets on the back of the earbuds tend to connect and this makes it difficult to untangle the cord. The cord is also too long.

Magnets + tangle prone cord + long cord = TANGLED MESS!!!

this headphone is the best headphones ever.when it comes to sound quality, its the best headphones l have ever owned.the mids and highs are just perfect on this headphones and it doesnt have an overpowering bass found in most headphones like v moda.it gives you a decent bass but not to deep like the v moda headphones.

l listern to lot of raggae and this headphones puts me in the music.very clear sound and u can hear each and ever instrument being played at the background but sometimes l wish for a little more bass.l ordered a v moda headphones just to give it a try and l didnt like it because the mids and highs was very weak but it had a lot of bass basically good for listening to hiphop. this headphones is suitable for all kinds of music.l highly recommend this to anyone who wants a clear sound listening to music

These are one of the best pair of headsets I’ve purchased. I use them with my iPod and iPhone! :) They’re that good.

The Zune Premium headphones are everything you could ask for in an earbud. They have unparalleled sound quality, and their cord has a nice string coating so they dont tangle easily. The magnets in the bud keep the two together nicely when not in use, and their price is reasonable, especially on amazon. I have gone through three pairs of them because my cat likes to chem them up, but I could not go to any other earbud after I tried these. Buy them, they are the best.

so i have to start off by saying i got these headphones originally with my zune 80. what you get with them is the head phones and a few different size ear inserts (im not sure what they are called). i always use the smallest size and they are very very comfortable! with these head phones on i do not need to turn the volume all the way up to hear the music, on my computer the volume is usually 1/5 of the total loudness and on my zune its usually at about 9 and when i’m riding my bike its at 13. this is out of a 20 btw. i had my first pair of these for about 7 months, when all of a sudden the left one stopped working, if i held it at a certain angle it would work again, but eventually neither of them worked, i dont know why, but they just broke. i loved these head phones so much that i had to buy another pair. and i’ve had these same head phones for about 2 years now with out a problem. i also consider these noise canceling, because i literally can’t hear the outside world with these on. and its not even all the way turned up.i am a little disappointed that the price for these headphones went up (i got them for $30) but they are still worth it. if your wondering how they compare to ipod head phones, these blow them out of the park. ipod headphones are uncomfortable and dont cancel any noise. get these, trust me!

    i hope this helped.

I lost my original headphones, and I was so satisfied with the originals, I had to replace them…

This is probably the best pair of earbuds I’ve ever personally used, aside from my old (lost) pair of Skull Candy Smokin’ Buds which were about equal with these on sound quality overall. I love the braided cord and the design. The little magnets on the back of the buds let you snap them back-to-back for a variety of uses like hanging them around your neck, keeping them in place in your pocket, etc. They also have the little adjustable sliding rubber piece that runs along the cord to keep the left and right earbud cords from separating, which is surprisingly not found on all headphones these days. I only have 2 minor gripes after having used them for a while. First, the sound quality, while great, doesn’t seem to hit peak quality unless you have the earbuds pushed as far into your ear as they will go. You can still hear fine if they’re loose, but you won’t get the full bass sound and the noise isolation will be less effective. Second is the fit; they fit TOO well, and often give a mild “suction” feeling when putting them in, and if I wear them while eating (say, at a noisy fast food place during lunch), there is a weird suction feeling from the motion of my jaw. It’s not uncomfortable, but it’s noticeable for me, and is a little distracting. If you’re a fan of earbud style headphones, you won’t be disappointed!

When I first got these, I thought they were going to be bad but they really surprised me. The bass was amazing, the interchangeable rubber ends were awesome since I share headphones with my girlfriend who has smaller ear openings. The cord is covered in fabric which makes it easier to untangle if they do become tangled and the magnets on each earphone helps as well. These do not hurt my ears like the hard plastic ones I got with my ipod.

    I recommend to everyone.

I bought these for my boyfriend because he broke his otherones… But accedently threw the new ones away. Didn’t realize he had gotten them so fast, and thought they were the broken ones. Lol! So the shipping speed is amazing, and though I can’t rate this specific product that was sent to me, I give it four stars, zune headphones are the pick of the litter

Sounds like one the top earphones in the market. Hard hitting bass, and clean highs. Perfect for techno. The cord is the only problem. When it rubs up agains your shirt or your collars it creates a very annoying scratching noise if your music is turned down low. Very, very irritating, and I have had these earphones about a year now and I’m still not used to the noise. I usually turn up the music high so drown out the scratching sound. Also, The soft fabric has torn in one place and it exposed the plastic wire underneath.

There is an advantage to the soft fabric wires though, it does not bunch up or get twisted. So you wont have to constantly untwist them like other plastic wires.

Overall, excellent sound, but annoying at time if the music is low or during song transitions.

First off, I have owned these Zune V2 headphones for over two years now on a Zune 120GB device; I am on my 2nd pair currently though. Portable headphones from any manufacturer do wear out with daily rugged use, as I give mine. The magnetic connector for them is just great, you know, the headphones are not dangling independently of each other all over the place. The speakers in them are excellent, they sound very good and the cord is made of tangle resistant woven material, and I have never had any problem with interference by it (the cord) hitting any objects, including metal. In fact, I read the review here that someone got interference with a shovel banging into them, but I tried hitting them (the cords) and everything else that I could think of, they never sounded better even as I was trying to distort the sound any way that I could. Even when I get an IPhone or any other portable device that will require headphones, I plan on using these. They may be a little expensive but they are totally worth it, you will never go back to ‘other’ portable headphones again, the noise reduction is standard for in-the-ear headphones also, meaning good. By the way, the great magnets and super sounding speakers are a little big, compared to `other’ cheaper lower-end portable headphones out here, but I will never go to anything else than this type of headphones.

I snagged these when they were selling at a 50% discount right before they were discontinued. The first time I used them, I fell in love. The sound quality is superb and they are very comfortable. The cord will fray but that shouldn’t cause a problem. Moving will transmit a sound to your ears and it’s annoying at first, but you quickly get used to it (at least I did) and it’s definitely not as bad as some people are saying.

    Here’s the bad:

I bought these in like late August and the right side just recently became really faint (this was in mid-March). I wish these headphones weren’t discontinued because I would definitely buy another pair.

Overall, these are still the best ear-phones I have ever used. Bass is perfect, sound quality is better than all I have tried, they are very comfortable, hardly noticeable & never fall out even while running, and block outside sound really well. Also, you think you’ll never use the pouch but you do :)
